Mikey Adores Mickey – Mickey 1st Birthday Party Supplies!
Our son Mikey adores Mickey mouse, especially the young baby version cartoons that we had years ago. We tried other cartoons like Bolt, Smurfs, and others, but Mickey stuck with him and since his name is Mikey, it just fits. He loves all the Mickey cartoons and shows, and any toy we give him, so our birthday gifts would be Mickey, at least until he grows out of them. It was only right that we get the Mickey 1st Birthday party supplies to throw him a great first birthday bash. All of our friends, since he is too young for friends and has no siblings, brought their children, and so we had to make sure there was stuff for them too as they are older.
I really liked the #1 polka dot candle that came with everything. We didn’t light it though, a one year old boy probably couldn’t blow out the candle, so we let him eat the cake off the bottom saran wrap (safely of course). It will be great to give it to someone else in the future if they need it and it won’t be used.
Thinking back now, the tablecloth, napkins, plates, cups, and dessert plates were all fantastic. They turned a normal table into a baby Mickey birthday bash we couldn’t have created without the Mickey 1st Birthday party supplies pack. Moreover, if we did, it would have cost more individually or even with some other designs.
The big cake we bought was topped with the yellow candles that came with the kit and served on the desert plates. The little cake had my son’s name written on it with hands deep in the ice cream. The high chair is an invention I believe everyone appreciates. One stop clean up shop baby and all, especially with the decoration kit that we had to use. The floor had this Mickey mat that we can reuse, which we do all the time.
Even though the cake was great, that didn’t come close to how great this cupcake stand was. At first, I didn’t plan to make cupcakes. You would figure that cake, and tons of it, would be enough, but I couldn’t let this go to waste, it was so great looking on the kids table sitting there waiting to be filled, so the night before I baked cupcakes. We wrapped them up and put them on the tray, it was worth a few photos before being torn up.
The big kids wore the Mickey cone hats and played with the Yo-Yo’s and Bubbles. Those were not exactly age appropriate for the baby, but someone must have thought that the party wouldn’t be all babies. In addition, there were coloring books and crayons, which my son could use until they were messed up and tossed in the trash. Thus goes the baby growing process, turn everything into a trash item.
It also came with a bib that was well used immediately with the cake smash to the face he performed. Babies are very cute when eating their first cake, enough to save that picture until he is married and we can show it to his own children.
He had Mickey ears too, but he didn’t like them for more than a couple seconds, not even long enough for a photo without crying. Oh well.
The big kids took care of the great piñata that came with everything and the Mickey 1st Birthday party supplies topped anything else we could think of for the day. I would recommend a kit like this for any party, even if it isn’t for a one year old.
