Kung Fu Panda 2 Party Supplies – The Background
Kung Fu Panda 2 Party Supplies are based on Kung Fu Panda 2, a 2011 3D American computer-animated movie. This action comedy film is produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Paramount Pictures. This film is the sequel to the film Kung Fu Panda that was released in June 2008. Kung Fu Panda 2 was released on May 26, 2011. The film was released in various formats, including Real D 3D and Digital 3D. Kung Fu Panda 2 became an international success. The plot of Kung Fu Panda 2 is quite interesting. Long ago in ancient China, the peacock clan ruled the Gongmen City. They created fireworks to bring happiness to the land. But their son, Lord Shen, wanted to harness the destructive potential of fireworks. He wanted to use its power as a weapon to rule the entire country. Ciurt’s goat soothsayer informs him that a panda warrior will defeat him one day. To avert the prophecy, he gets the entire village of pandas killed. Shen’s parents exile him when they learn this. Shen swears revenge.
After 30 years, Po is a Kung Fu master and Dragon Warrior. He, along with his friends and fellow Kung Fu masters the Furious Five, protects the Valley of Peace. Master Shifu tells him that he has not achieved inner peace yet and to complete a final Kung Fu technique. During a fight with the head wolf, Po sees a symbol on his head and gets distracted. He has a flashback of his mother. He asks Mr. Ping about himself. Ping tells him that he was found in a radish crate as an infant.
Shen develops a new weapon, a cannon. He kills the leader of the Kung Fu Council protecting Gongmen City, Master Thundering Rhino, with it. He wants to destroy Kung Fu tradition and conquer China. When Po and the Furious Five reach Gongmen City to stop him, they find the city under the control of Shen’s forces. They ask the help of the two imprisoned council members, Masters Storming Ox and Croc. But both of them are helpless themselves. Shen’s gorilla army captures Po and the Five.
Po and the Five are brought before Shen in his tower. But they free themselves and destroy Shen’s cannon. Po is distracted again by the same symbol and sees a flashback. Meanwhile, Shen escapes and destroys the tower with an arsenal of cannons. They escape. Master Tigress talks to Po about his distraction. Po tells him that when he was separated from his parents, Shen was present there. Tigress warns Po to stay away from Shen for his own safety.
But Po goes to Shen’s cannon factory to confront him. By doing so, he inadvertently foils the Five’s attempts to destroy the factory. Shen tells Po that his parents never loved him and they abandoned him. He, then, captures the Five and blasts Po out of the factory. Soothsayer rescues Po. Soothsayer was exiled by Shen to the ruined village where Po was born. Soothsayer makes Po remember that his parents had sacrificed themselves to save him from Shen’s forces. It was the time when Shen had ordered to kill every panda and burned down the village. During the fight, Po’s father had asked his mother to escape with the baby. Po’s mother had hid him in a crate of radishes. Po finds his childhood toy from the ground. Po realizes that even after this tragedy, he had lived a fulfilling and happy life. He attains inner peace.
Po goes back to Gongmen City to prevent Shen’s conquest of China and save the captive Five. Shifu persuades Ox and Croc, and they too, participate in the battle. They block the gates to Gongmen City to stop Shen. But he uses cannon to clear the way. The gang is flung into the ocean during the explosion. Po gets onto a rock. He then uses his inner peace to use the Kung Fu technique that turns back Shen’s cannon fires against his own army and destroys it. Shen attacks Po with his knives but accidentally slashes the ropes that are holding up his last cannon. The cannon falls on Shen and he dies. Po returns to the Valley of Peace. Mr. Ping declares himself to be Po’s father.
In the closing scenes, it is shown that Po’s real father is living in a far-off hidden village. The village is inhabited by other surviving pandas. Po’s father is the leader of the village. He senses that his son is alive.
