Handy Manny Party Supplies – The Background

Handy Manny Party Supplies are based on Handy Manny, a Disney Channel animated children’s television program. It premiered on September 16, 2006. Originally it was a part of the Playhouse Disney daily block and was intended for preschoolers but it was moved to the Disney Junior block on February 14, 2011 as Playhouse Disney’s replacement. The show is about Manuel “Manny” Garcia (played by Wilmer Valderrama) and his anthropomorphic tools. Manny is a Hispanic/Mexican bilingual handyman. The show’s audience is kids of the age group 4-8 and is being taught the beginnings of Spanish and the importance of cultural diversity through the show.

The show is created by Emmy Award-winning writer and producer Rick Gitelson along with Roger Bollen and Marilyn Sadler. Toronto-based Nelvana has produced the animation. Apart from Wilmer Valderrama, the show features the voices of Tom Kenny, Fred Stoller, Dee Bradley Baker, Nika Futterman, Carlos Alazraqui, Kath Soucie and Grey DeLisle. A number of special guest stars have been featured in the series like Lance Bass, Shelley Morrison, Kurtwood Smith, Fred Willard, Jane Lynch, Penn Jillette, Ashley Parker Angel, Jon Polito, Snoop Dogg, Brian George, Marion Ross, Shannon Durig, James Belushi, Chris Rock, Henry Winkler, Ice-T, Bob Glouberman and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Los Lobos has performed the theme song of the show.

The story of the show, Handy Manny, is set in Sheetrock Hills, a fictional town. In this town Manny Garcia has got a repair shop. He has got a lot of anthropomorphic talking tools which he used to do the repair job. He is the handiest handyman in the entire town. He is the Lola’s brother and the grandson of Abuelito. Manny is known for his eagerness to help everyone. He had once, unknowingly, repaired his own trophy and was awarded the “Good Citizens Award”.

Most of the half-an-hour episodes have two stories. Normally the stories start Manny and the tools talking with one another in Manny’s repair shop. Someone in need of some repair or assembly will call Manny. Manny will always answer with these words: “Hola, Handy Manny’s repair shop, you break it” and the tools will add these words (shouting): “We fix it”. Then, Manny, along with his tools would sing “Hop up, Jump in” and all the tools would hop in his tool box. In most of the cases, when Manny, along with his tools, reaches outside his shop he finds Mr. Leonard Francis Lopart with his pet cat Fluffy standing at his candy store. Mr. Lopart doesn’t have any experience, but he would always be trying to repair or assemble an item on his own. Manny would always offer his help but he would always decline his offer saying that he wouldn’t need any help to do the job. When Manny and his tools go away, the item that Mr. Lopart was repairing or building would always malfunction and would create a mess. Manny would go to Kelly’s hardware store to fetch the tool needed for the repair job. After completing the repair job, Manny and his tools would return to their repair shop.

Apart from Manny, Kelly and Mr. Lopart, tools too play important part in the show. Felipe is a Phillips screwdriver who considers himself very important but sometimes creates a new problem instead of solving it. Turner is a flathead screwdriver who loves animals secretly but denies the fact. Stretch is a tape measure with a great memory and good mathematical mind. Squeeze is a pair of pliers who is girly, giggly and preppy. Pat is a talkative hammer who is not so intelligent but is obsessed with nails. Dusty is a smart hand saw who always gives good advice. Rusty is a worrywart monkey wrench and is afraid of everything. Flicker is Spanish-speaking flashlight who is learning English and is Manny’s youngest tool. Apart from these, Spinner is a power drill, Jack is a jackhammer, Zip is a power socket wrench, Sneeze is a vacuum cleaner, Ticks and Totts are socket wrenches, Pinzas are a pair of needle-nose pliers, Roland is a giant tool box and Lefty, Lily and Junior are crescent wrenches.

Handy Manny’s Motorcycle Adventure is a Handy Manny feature film that was released in 2009. In this movie Manny along with his tools sets off to his family reunion but Pat, Squeeze and Flicker wander off in search of Pat’s family.

Handy Manny Party Supplies – The Options

You may select Basic Party Pack from our Handy Manny Party Supplies which includes all the stuff you need for 8 guests. Or you may go with the Deluxe Party Pack from our Handy Manny Kids Party Supplies that has much more items than the Handy Manny Basic Pack. The Handy Manny deluxe pack is also for 8 guests. If you need favor boxes as well, I would suggest you to choose the combination of Deluxe Party Pack & 8 Favor Boxes from our Handy Manny Party Supplies as it would cost you much more if you purchase them separately. If you think that the number of guests may exceed 8 you should consider Handy Manny Party Pack Add-On as it contains extra items for the extra guests. You may order Handy Manny Party Favor Boxes separately as well.

I’ve personally used Handy Manny Party Supplies for my kid’s birthday and through my personal experience I would recommend it to all Handy Manny lover kids.
