Building Block Party Supplies

Everyone is a Lego kid, from my mother’s generation down to my sons, no kid left behind. The greatest minds have created burnt toast and skyscrapers from Lego toys and my son is not different in any way. The closest thing I could find to a Lego party that wasn’t a million dollars, was the Building Block Party supplies. It does look somewhat generic, but Lego has a monopoly on these types of blocks. You definitely cannot expect anything less, but that did not decrease the quality. Add to that, my son spent a week building his own decorations out of Lego’s to add to the party supplies. Everyone knew this was coming, no surprise party here, yet a great party it turned out to be.

The invitations were excellent, they looked like Legos coming together when they closed and vice versa. Though it wasn’t Lego, it was definitely close in style. The living room was amazing with actual Legos used to create a corner of the room in the style of a castle with dragons and knights and a city with police and people. It rather looked like you were leaving one period for another in a time machine the way he was able to build them. An artist in the making I assume. Still with all the stuff on the walls like the danglers, the block banner, chain linked circles and the crepe it all looked awesome. We even had an area made out of Legos that kept all the presents inside.

My favorite things out of the entire box included were the cute block cups. They looked, on the outside, as if they were made of circular blocks. The only thing they were missing was 3D protrusions to make it all more lifelike, and then you couldn’t tell the difference. It would be a good way to go in the future. Add to that the hats were block hats (in the shape of cones) that looked like blocks were falling on the kids’ heads. They look different on the internet, but on their heads, they look great.

The piñata was only so-so, it could have been better. The balloons were in the shape of blocks, and I expected the piñata to be so as well. However, that said, the stuffing candy and the toys that went inside were great. It was a wonder that everything you would need would be in the box and ready to go. I was exceptionally happy that I didn’t have to make any last minute runs to the store.

Overall, the Building Block Party supplies made sure that we had a great Lego party and it matched exactly what we needed. Of course, we also bought a Lego Scooby Doo that went along with other gifts and when you built it up, it was life size. They built that one at the end of the party and it only took them about 3 hours to do it.
