Ben 10 Party Supplies – The Background
Ben 10 Party Supplies are based on the American animated series, Ben 10, produced by Cartoon Network Studios and created by Duncan Rouleau, Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, and Steven T. Seagle, the “Man of Action” group. The story is about a ten year old boy Ben Tennyson, who gets a watch-like alien gadget, called the Omnitrix, and with the help of the device can change into alien life-forms.
The pilot episode of Ben 10 television series aired on December 27, 2005 on Cartoon Network. The show’s theme song was sung by Moxy and written by Andy Sturmer. In April 2008, Ben 10: Alien Force succeeded the series and in April 2010 Ben 10: Ultimate Alien succeeded it. Kids have loved the series as well as Ben 10 Party Supplies.
The plot of the Ben 10 series is very interesting. Benjamin “Ben” Kirby Tennyson, popularly known as Ben 10 is on a summer camping trip along with his Grandpa Maxwell “Max” Tennyson and his cousin Gwendolyn “Gwen” Catherine Tennyson. Ben accidentally stumbles upon an alien pod. When he looks closely, he finds a mysterious watch-like gadget (Omnitrix). The summer camping trip is now a summer-long adventure and Ben, along with Gwen and Grandpa Max, fights evil forces. The evil powers are both extraterrestrial and terrestrial.
Ben 10 – The Characters
The characterization of Ben is very interesting. He is an immature and cocky boy. He enjoys attention and makes jokes even during fights. But actually he has got strong and sincere will to help and save people in need although due to his immaturity he has made a bad impression on some people. He is ready to go to any extent to save his family or anyone in danger. He can be shrewd and cunning when need arises. He is shown as resourceful and intelligent. Sometimes the Omnitrix cannot be activated and sometimes it doesn’t provide him with the form he needs, but still he is able to fight the evil with his brain, will-power and the available resources.
Gwen has got a young girl attitude. She is shown as a very mean and snobbish girl. Her most notable quality is her magic. She obtains a small book of spells from Charmcaster and then she starts tapping into her magical powers.
Grandfather Max has learned about the merits of hard work during his childhood summers that he had spent on his Uncle Jedediah’s farm. When he was a kid he was afraid of heights, but later he overcame his fear. Max was an astronaut, but always depicted himself as a plumber. Max could have been the first man on the moon, but had left NASA just before the Apollo Moon mission. He, in fact, had gone into the space on his own.
Vilgax is an archenemy of Ben 10. He is one of the most feared aliens in the galaxy. He is arrogant and vicious and wants Omnitrix at any cost. Vilgax originally has no powers, but was accidentally cybernetically enhanced and has now got colossal size, strength, durability and the ability to temporarily increase his own strength and muscle mass.
Dr. Aloysius James Animo is a scientist who wanted to win the Verties Award, an award in veterinary science. But because he was performing twisted genetic experiments on animals, his career ended and the award was given to another scientist. He got insane and went underground to perfect his research in making mutant lifeforms of animals.
Kevin Ethan Levin is an insecure guy with extremely low self-esteem. He has got incredibly negative outlook on life. Only for cashing in on the spoils, he gets ready to kill countless passengers by derailing a train in the subway. Even when he was a kid, he was always ready to hurt or kill anyone for his personal gain or even for pleasure.
